I’ve been skinny, skinny fat and fat. I've struggled to stay consistent all my life. Ironically, I once got into the best shape of my life when I knew the least. I wasn't obsessing over perfecting my workouts or my diet. I found things I enjoyed and kept showing up.
Then I did 15+ courses and became obsessed with optimising everything. I started hating the process, lost my consistency, and eventually ended up in worse shape than when I started. I was a fat personal trainer.
That taught me the most important lesson. The best routine isn’t the most optimal one. It’s the one you can actually stick to. So I stopped chasing perfection and built my routine around workouts, foods, and habits I genuinely enjoy. Staying lean feels easy again, so I built Kaizen to be the system I wish I had when I first started.
